We are so proud to be New School Parents! This website was created to share our appreciation and enthusiasm for this wonderful place for all children.

We greatly appreciate the fact that for the past ten years New School Prep
has immersed our children in academics, athletics and the arts.  The
teachers and facility have taught them English, Math and Science, but have
also instilled in them important qualities such as respect, tolerance,
consideration, boundaries and responsibility.  New School has helped to
provide our children with a solid foundation on which to grow both
academically and personally. Most importantly, we have piece of mind knowing
that New School provides a safe and secure environment for our children to
play and learn in.  Lori Caldwell-Carr

At New School our children receive an exceptional education. I am grateful for their diversity and intelligence in respecting all who want to learn and achieve. It has been the very best thing for our children. They are all at or above grade level academically, they are treated as individuals and taught personal responsibility. They learn at their own levels and are taken as high as they can go. They cater to children…and teach them how to shake hands, look the people in the eye, and the children thrive on it.  The passion of the teachers is addictive. How amazing! When the children walk on the campus, they are greeted with love and respect from all who are there.  What they get there is priceless.  My children are happy – so happy - to go to school every day. They are challenged, cared for, and safe.  This school is rare. Thank you New School.  -Patty Murphy

Today our son was named of 300 National semi-finalists in the Siemens Foundation’s Mat, Science and Technology Competition. He had to submit a paper…based on an article published by The American Journal of Immunology …in which he was one of the 4 authors/researchers. IN May, he won the Best of Category in Microbiology at the Intel ISEF Competition in Indianapolis. This has all been based on research done with a mentor at UCF…He also was hired to work part time in the lab at UCF…Each of these things goes back to the building blocks he received at NSO. Thanks again for all of YOUR hard work, and we feel so fortunate to have found your school. –Barb Warren.

At the final cross-country meet, I found myself so grateful for the kids my son goes to school with. My son has lots of heart and a great attitude when he runs……he never quits…He fell on the back legs of the course…and he had to make a decision whether to quit or pick up the pace again…Word got round to his teammates, all of whom had already crossed the finish line…They were hot and tired and by all rights done. When they saw him struggling on, every last one of them ran out to him and jogged alongside to bolster him…Never was he made fun of for being slow or being young…They just accept one another. I commented to my son how cool that was and looked at me as if I had a 3rd eye and said, “All the kids at my school are like that.” I firmly believe God led us there; we’ve been so blessed by the school.  – Ali Graham

As I dropped my son off  for "Crazy Hair Day", I could see the outlines of a group of people behind the "library" door. When my son got out of the car, the door was thrown open and there stood the first grade teacher surrounded by the kids yelling and exclaiming to my son over his crazy hair with such happiness. He took off running to them and never looked back. It's so comforting to know that he spends the majority of his waking hours with loving people. Our kids have bonded so well together and they have a great teacher.  I'm sure every child was greeted that way today. - Janet King

New School is such a great place for kids and parents. I just gave a presentation to my daughter's class last week. Not only were the kids attentive, but they were so well prepared to take in the extra information. I feel extremely welcome at New School and am very glad my daughter is there. New School gave my daughter an amazing academic program and helped her become pro-active in life. The arts program adds a richness to the fine academic standards. There is a positive energy that permeates the school.

Morrie- I just wanted to take a moment to thank you for your style of leadership and the excellent way you model problem solving and industry for my kids. I am frequently awed at the expertise and natural ability you have to work with people and difficult situations. Your love for the kids and your work comes out and makes even tough scenes easier with your concern. Thank you for your strenghts and abilities and how they act and inter-act with my children. I feel honored to have them around people of character such as yourself. - parent

Now that I am in high school, I am constantly reminded of my years at New School. Thank your for your guidance. You taught me to always be accepting of everyone and to keep an open mind, spirit, and friendly attitude. You always stressed  the importance of history and it made an impact on how I view things. Your moral lessons helped shaped me to become who I am today and have influenced many difficult decisions. Of all your great qualities, your gentleness is my favorite. - former student

My son is finishing third grade at New School and I couldn't be more pleased. He attended another school prior to New School and we felt we were losing him to depression and feeling 'not good enough'. At New School, because of the caring and whole-child centered teachers, we have our funny, confident child back. He is proud of the work he is doing and does not feel pressured or discouraged. He is working at an academic level we never imagined he could achieve and the art, music and dance programs are fabulous. How many middle schools are doing a whole school production of 'A Midsummer's Night Dream'? Our thanks to the teachers in this wonderful school!

The warmth in this school is felt the minute you walk in. My daughter doesn't want to go home from school. Teachers actually care about kids.

My children have been at the New School of Orlando for five years. Sending my children to this school was the best decision I could have made for them. The teachers are kind and compassionate and take time to plan for individual differences. My kids come home bubbling with the amazing things they have done. I feel free to contact any teacher about any issue and I know I will get a quick response. Care is taken to be sure all children are adjusting well socially and academically. This is a school where there will never be bullies, misfits, or cliques. Submitted by a parent
